- Beneficiaries in Charaideo, Jorhat, Golaghat, and Sivasagar will receive a special Rs 2,500 'Orunodoi' installment from August 1, alongside book grants for students ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000.
- Disaster Management Minister Keshab Mahanta stated that a visiting inter-ministerial team from the Ministry of Home Affairs assessed the damage, a crucial step to secure further assistance from the Central Government.
