ASAJA Alicante has warned this week of the "irreparable damage" that the Natural Resources Management Plan (PORN) of the Sierra de la Escalona can cause the irrigation of the province. As it denounced yesterday in a day in Orihuela, the plan threatens more than 6,000 hectares of irrigations of national interest in the Vega Baja, which means more than half of the irrigable area of La Pedrera.
