The company Mota-Engil Mexico, in charge of the expansion of the air terminal has replaced the official name by Tepic-Riviera Nayarit International Airport, without there still being a decree that supports it.
The terminal of Tepic is the only one in the country that pays formal tribute to a poet and literary creator, unlike the other airports that honor politicians, military or procers patrios.
