Paris, the capital of France, became the scene of a grand military parade, held every year on the occasion of the national holiday of July 14. Some 7,000 representatives of the army and security forces marched and rode along the famous Champs-Élysées, a hundred aircraft flew by, and two hundred horses marched. The parade was led by 450 soldiers from Indonesia, with whom France has signed a partnership agreement.
On this historic day, the French armed forces want to demonstrate their fast-paced capabilities. "Freedom has never been as threatened as it is today since 1945," says French President Emmanuel Macron, who invited his Indonesian counterpart as a guest of honour.
