The Guardia Civil has arrested a minor accused of assaulting elderly people in the town of Majadahonda in Madrid through the technique known as ‘mataléon’ to take their jewels, mobile phones and other valuables on them. The investigation began on May 3, when the first of the robberies took place. The now arrested man selected his victims, mostly elderly people, and followed them to the portals of his homes or underground car parks.
The violent images of one of the five robberies committed by a young minor have shocked the community. Three robberies in May, one in June, and another this July, all in Majadahonda, Madrid. He follows his victims into their apartment buildings and doesn't hesitate to use force against vulnerable people. His targets are elderly people with visibly diminished physical capabilities.
