Arrest after four injured in Edinburgh incidents as posts show man with ‘knife’
Police said a 36-year-old man was arrested after four people were taken to hospital following incidents across west Edinburgh.
A 36-year-old man was arrested after a series of incidents across West Edinburgh and Leith on the evening of June 19, 2026, that injured four people who were hospitalized.
Police Scotland stated there is no further risk to the public following these events and are continuing their enquiries.
Police closed Leith Walk shortly before 10pm and deployed a large police presence in response to the incidents.
Lothian Buses diverted routes away from Leith Walk and Duke Street due to road closures caused by the police activity.
