Just over a year ago, at the end of March 2025, federal forces carried out the confiscation of 10 million litres of illegal diesel in the port of Altamira, Tamaulipas. The fuel was stored at the premises of a freight company and had arrived on board a ship from Texas, through an entrepreneur linked to the local political class, Roberto Blanco Cantu or Roberto Brown, alias El Señor de los Buques.
Reynosa's is not the first huachi-refinería to appear, but it is the first to which the 4T government accepts that it exists and confiscates the fuel. That is, it intervenes its facilities and paralyzes its illegal and multimillion dollar operation.
