The deployment of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East has been extended for a full year, two U.S. military officials told Fox News today. Approximately 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division first deployed to the region in March. The extended deployment was announced Sunday by the division's commander, Maj. Gen. Brandon R. Tegtmeier.
