On 23 and 24 April Armenia's capital Yerevan hosted a series of demonstrations dedicated to the achievement of 111 years since the Armenian genocide, when about 1.5 million Armenians who lost their lives in 1915 under the Ottoman Empire. According to Euronews, the events brought together civil society officials and representatives, the culminating point being the revolution with torches from the Republic Square to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial.
