Arkansas Department of Health Cutting 30 Jobs by November, Expected to Save Millions

The Arkansas Department of Health is reallocating funds in a $142.7 million plan that includes raises for state police while eliminating 30 positions focused on marginalized groups.

A spokesperson confirmed to 5NEWS that affected employees were notified on Aug. 5 and the role elimination will go into effect Nov. 1, 2025.
