Ariana Grande Won’t Let Her Break Get in the Way of ‘Focker-in-Law’
Billboard says she will still support the film’s Thanksgiving release while continuing work on R.E.M. Beauty after stepping back from public visibility.
- Ariana Grande will promote her upcoming film Focker-in-Law this fall, despite her previously announced plans to take a hiatus from the spotlight. The comedy features recurring franchise leads Ben Stiller and Robert Niro, premiering November 25.
- Following the conclusion of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, the 33-year-old singer announced in August she would be "taking a step back from visibility." She described the decision as a plan "quietly made a long time ago."
- Grande's tour ended Tuesday, September 1, in London after 41 shows, grossing $107.9 million across 638,000 tickets sold. She remains "proud" to participate in the press campaign for the new film, according to Billboard.
- Beyond the film's promotional run, the performer will continue managing her business brands, including R.E.M. Beauty. Her representative confirmed she looks forward to a "much-deserved break" once these commitments wrap later this year.
- The star withdrew from the upcoming West End revival of the stage production Park With George, where she was set to appear with fellow Wicked costar Jonathan Bailey. Bailey also recently dropped out of the production.
