Measles cases in El Salvador increased to 39 cases in 2026, according to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health. According to the health authorities, all cases are imported. Only in epidemiological week 25, corresponding between 21 and 27 June, the authorities reported 12 cases of measles. Measles are transmitted mainly by air, through respiratory droplets that an infected person expels by coughing, sneezing or talking.
