In trade terms, Mexico faces a “battle” every week with the United States, as President Donald Trump’s administration constantly announces tariffs that prevent free trade, said the head of the Ministry of Economy (SE), Marcelo Ebrard, as the 10 percent taxes Washington announced last week on imports from countries that, in his opinion, do not do enough to combat forced labor. The measure applies to 60 countries, including Mexico.
