Arcwood Environmental Acquires MXI Environmental Services/ Dynamic Recycling
Arcwood's third acquisition in six months adds over 150 employees and expands hazardous waste and recycling services across the mid-Atlantic and Eastern U.S.
- On Jan. 7, 2026, Arcwood Environmental announced it acquired Virginia-based MXI Environmental Services/Dynamic Recycling, strengthening its hazardous waste capabilities and expanding its Eastern U.S. presence.
- Last year, Arcwood Environmental rebranded from Heritage Environmental with EQT Infrastructure backing, following two acquisitions — Innovative Recycling Technologies and ERG Environmental Group — in six months.
- The deal adds more than 150 employees to Arcwood and integrates MXI Environmental Services, Dynamic Recycling, and Maumee Express, which process roughly 19 million pounds annually.
- The acquisition strengthens Arcwood Environmental's waste transportation and management capabilities, expands operations across the Eastern United States, and boosts Arcwood's fleet beyond more than 2,000 vehicles.
- As part of its national expansion strategy, Arcwood said MXI's latex paint recycling, aerosol processing and chemical neutralization position it to serve municipal household hazardous waste programs.
