At the invitation of Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, government leaders and top officials from across the European Union will gather in Rovaniemi, on the edge of the Arctic, on Sunday. The urgent meeting focuses on security on the northern flank, where increasing geopolitical rivalry with Russia and China, as well as American interest in Greenland, are forcing the bloc to adopt a more proactive course.
