Arctech to Supply 175 MW of Solar Trackers for Landmark Green Hydrogen Project in Oman
- On May 30, 2025, Arctech entered into an agreement with ACME Cleantech Solutions to provide solar tracking systems with a capacity of 175 MWp for a green ammonia facility in Duqm, Oman, designed to process 300 metric tons per day.
- This contract follows Oman's renewable energy initiatives driven by OPWP’s aim to diversify energy sources and achieve 35-39% electricity from renewables by 2040.
- The Duqm project is situated in a coastal desert environment characterized by sandy terrain, extreme temperature variations, strong winds reaching velocities as high as 55 meters per second, and a severe C5 classification for corrosion risk.
- Arctech plans to install its Skyline II single-axis solar tracking system, specifically developed to withstand tough conditions, with phased deliveries beginning in July 2025 to support the solar photovoltaic segment of the green hydrogen project.
- The partnership reinforces Oman's vision for industrial decarbonization and positions Duqm as a global energy transition hub while highlighting Arctech's role in enabling large renewable energy projects worldwide.
