The settlement of Cabezo Redondo, covering approximately 1 hectare, functioned from 2100 to 1250 BCE as a vital junction between the interior of the Iberian Peninsula and the coast. A great fire that broke out around 1507–1428 BCE destroyed some of the buildings but preserved the loom, seemingly frozen in time.
