A measure that could radically change urban transport is proposed in Arad: passengers could only pay 1 lion for a whole day of public transport. The initiative comes at the bottom of the fuel savings fund and continues to encourage the disposal of personal cars in favour of trams and electric buses. The project will continue to enter into the debate and, if approved, may be implemented within a maximum of two months.
The Arad Prime Minister proposes to reduce rates to transport by tram and bus up to 1 lion per day including VAT, in order for modernised local public transport to become an alternative to personal car, under the conditions of high fuel prices.
