Approximately 7,400 Cases of Whooping Cough in Germany

Berlin – Last year, 7,428 cases of pertussis (whooping cough) were reported nationwide in Germany. Four patients died from the disease, according to the German government's response to a parliamentary inquiry from the AfD party. The majority of cases (1,224) were reported in Bavaria, followed by North Rhine-Westphalia (947) and Baden-Württemberg.
