Apple releases iOS 27, macOS 27 and other major updates with Siri AI
- Today Apple released the first developer beta for iOS 27.2, expanding Siri AI support to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish after iOS 27 earlier this week limited the feature to English.
- Skipping the 27.1 release, Apple opted to reserve that version for the foldable iPhone Duo launching next month. This beta arrives just two days after the general public received iOS 27.
- Beyond language support, the update includes a redesigned Health app and new Facetime capabilities allowing simultaneous front and rear camera usage. The Podcasts app features a refreshed Home tab with New Episodes and Continue Playing rows.
- The Apple TV app adds support for individual profiles to manage viewing preferences, such as separating children's shows like Shape Island. Subscribers can utilize Multiview to watch four simultaneous live sports streams, including Major League Soccer and Formula 1.
- Since this remains a developer beta, users should install it only on secondary devices to avoid potential bugs or battery drain. Apple expects a general public release later this year, with current estimates pointing toward October.
