Apple is shifting engineers to Siri and smart-glasses projects after the $3,499 headset failed to revive demand, sources said.

- With development halted, Vision Pro chief Mike Rockwell has been leading the Siri team since March 2025, with former team members redistributed across other Apple projects.
- Instead of pursuing virtual reality, Apple is developing smart glasses similar to Ray-Ban Meta, having tabled cheaper Vision Air plans last year due to power consumption constraints.
