easyJet Group expects its GBP5.7 billion pound (USD7.5 million) takeover by US private equity firm Apollo Global Management to be finalised early 2027, CEO Kenton Jarvis said in a Bloomberg interview on the sidelines of the Airlines for Europe meeting in Brussels on October 8, 2026. Apollo’s £5.7bn easyJet takeover expected to close early next year
Apollo Global Management’s proposed £5.7bn acquisition of EasyJet remains on course to complete in early 2027, according a report by Bloomberg citing comments from the airline’s chief executive, Kenton Jarvis, although regulatory approval is still outstanding.
The US fund agreed in August to take over the British airline after imposing itself on Castlelake.
