Apollo 14 Bicentennial Moon Tree

Summary by Atlas Obscura
This sycamore tree was planted in 1976 in celebration of America's bicentennial.  Stuart Roosa was a US Forest Service smoke Jumper who became an astronaut on Apollo 14. He carried tree seeds with him on the mission. After his return the seeds were germinated and seedlings were shared and planted all over the world.  What a wonderful trip, to visit all of the moon trees! There are 6 other Moon Trees on Atlas Obscura, but many more out there.
