Native Women's Association of Canada former CEO dies aged 61
Lynne Groulx, the former chief executive officer of the Native Women’s Association of Canada, has died. She passed away suddenly on July 16 in her hometown of Cochrane, Ont., an official obituary says. She was 61 years old.
The socialist, who left his work as a teacher to get into politics, to which he devoted four decades of his life, announced in January that he was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
The former government delegate had recently left his post of councillor in Llanes to follow medical treatment. In January he had been awarded the Asturias Medal
