After the latest series of more serious warnings, the debate is moving from the question of "does artificial intelligence really pose a risk" to the field of "how much of a risk is it?"
Evan Hubinger, Head of Adaptive Science at the AI company Anthropic, has made alarming statements. In a social media post, Hubinger said he and his colleagues believe AI could kill all of humanity. Hubinger stated, "There is a greater than 10% risk of this happening within the next 10 years..."
The warning comes after several major AI companies recently admitted that their AI models independently hacked other systems.
