At least 110 thousand birds were killed following 17 controls carried out in food, farm and livestock stocks in many regions of the country, after laboratory tests confirmed the presence of metrididazole, a medicinal product prohibited for animals intended for human consumption.
The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) has provided for the landing of more than 100 thousand birds, after the presence of metrinidazole – a strictly prohibited substance – in the case of birds and eggs intended for human consumption has been demonstrated in laboratory controls.
