The National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE) approved a new market mechanism on Wednesday for eligible consumers - directly or through suppliers and aggregators - to be paid for the temporary and voluntary reduction of electricity consumption.
ANRE has approved the regulation for the consumer flexibility service. At certain intervals, a consumer can decide whether it is more efficient to temporarily reduce their consumption and value the quantities saved on the market.
Consumers who can temporarily reduce electricity consumption will be able to receive money for this after approval of a new market mechanism. Participation is voluntary, and consumers can do so directly or through suppliers and aggregators.
The National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE) approved, on Wednesday, at the meeting of the Regulatory Committee, the Regulation on the Flexible Consumption Service.
