Two ICEYE radar satellites intended for the Polish Armed Forces were launched into space on Monday on SpaceX's Transporter-16 mission. "At the beginning of 2025, we didn't have a single one—by the end of 2026, we'll have nine! This is a real change!" Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk wrote on Platform X.
The Transporter-16 mission, carrying Polish MikroSAR satellites from the POLSARIS constellation, launched on Monday. This is the second launch of Polish satellites – the first was on November 28th of last year. Poland is building its space advantage, said Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk.
Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk announced on social media that the launch of another MikroSAR satellite of the POLSARIS constellation is planned for Monday.
