- Damage to a third-party fibre optic line near Clinton caused the disruption, while active wildfires in the Cariboo region hampered CityWest's ability to reroute traffic between Prince George and Vancouver.
- Service remains disrupted in communities including 100 Mile House, Barlow Creek, and Dawson Creek, though Telus confirmed its networks are unaffected and Northern Health facilities utilize Starlink backups.
- Rogers advised customers to check the MyRogers app for real-time alerts regarding connection status, as technical teams began investigating at 12:08 p.m. on Tuesday.
- Previous disruptions occurred in May and on August 2, caused by intentional cable theft in the Cariboo, marking this incident as the latest connectivity challenge for the region this year.
