Police say they have charged a 48-year-old woman with serious animal cruelty after allegedly finding 119 animals on a property west of Brisbane.

A 48-year-old woman has been charged following an investigation into the alleged mistreatment of a large number of animals at a rural property in Tara. Police attended the property on 24 July, where officers assessed the welfare of numerous animals located at the address.
