Belleville Police have laid animal cruelty charges against an man after a cat was attacked. Officers began investigating an animal welfare complaint Monday morning and discovered that a male had hit, bitten, and thrown a cat against a wall. It was also reported that the male had previously bit another animal. Police say he was also bound by a Probation Order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
