Comedian Andrew Schulz Joins "Miami Vice '85"

- Comedian and podcaster Andrew Schulz is joining Universal Pictures' Miami Vice '85, a Joseph Kosinski-directed crime film, according to Deadline. He stars alongside Michael B. Jordan as Ricardo Tubbs and Austin Butler as James "Sonny" Crockett.
- Inspired by the 1984–90 NBC series pilot, the project explores the "glamour and corruption" of mid-1980s Miami. Screenwriter Dan Gilroy penned the script based on characters created by Anthony Yerkovich and Michael Mann.
- The film, which the studio plans to shoot for IMAX, features a cast including Whitney Peak, Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, John Leguizamo, and Danny Ramirez. Production begins later this year.
- Schulz's acting career has accelerated recently, with roles in "You People," "Underdoggs," and the "White Men Can't Jump" remake. He also recently finished filming the Apple sports movie "Running."
