Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor surrendered his firearms certificate after a police review imposed strict conditions on gun use and storage amid ongoing public safety concerns.
- On Wednesday November 19, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor surrendered his firearms and shotgun certificate after Metropolitan Police Service firearms licensing officers attended Royal Lodge, Windsor, Berkshire.
- Earlier this month the Metropolitan Police Service assessed claims that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor asked a SO14 Royalty Protection Group officer to check Virginia Giuffre, but Central Specialist Crime Commander Ella Marriott said no criminal investigation will proceed.
- Specialist firearms officers from the Metropolitan Police visited Royal Lodge, Windsor last month and Mr Mountbatten-Windsor communicated with police via a valet before surrendering his certificate; officers imposed strict storage and access conditions without seizing firearms.

- The surrender comes amid renewed Epstein-file releases and scrutiny, as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor denies wrongdoing, paid millions to settle a 2022 claim, and faces ongoing U.S. congressional pressure.
