Scientists have discovered a large ancient continental crust fragment, roughly the size of Ohio and over a billion years old, buried beneath East Antarctica’s ice using satellite gravity and seismic data. The find offers new insights into supercontinent history and may connect to the Gamburtsev Mountains.
