The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) endorsed the analysis of the recognition of melipon bees as subjects of right, in Hopelchen, Campeche, and the Geohydrological Reserve Ring of the Cenotes, in Yucatan, with which indigenous communities could legally proceed against the pollution of the pig industry and protect bees from the massive use of pesticides.
