Airline operator ANA Holdings Inc. is considering offering automated drone delivery services by March 2029, company officials said Friday, as more companies in Japan turn to the technology amid labor shortages in the logistics industry.
It was learned on the 9th that ANA Holdings (HD) is considering entering the delivery business using unmanned, autonomous drones by fiscal 2028. Demonstration tests are already underway in Okinawa Prefecture and elsewhere, and the company will accelerate verification with a view to commercialization. The revised Air Transport Act, which comes into effect in December 2022,
