On Thursday 3 July, the Public Prosecutor's Office requested 18 months of suspended prison and three years of ineligibility, but without provisional execution, against Charles Ange Ginesy, president LR of the Alpes-Maritimes department council, tried since Tuesday in Marseille for favouritism.


The prosecutor also claimed against the elected candidate a fine of 35,000 euros, of which 5,000 euros were suspended. Mr Ginesy was accused of signing, on 17 May 2017, a lease with an amount of work of more than 508,000 euros to house in Valbonne (Alpes-Maritimes) sixty employees.
