Police in Haiti name former senator among suspects facing arrest over deadly gang attacks

Haitian authorities issued over a dozen arrest warrants for suspects linked to gang violence in Kenscoff, where dozens have been killed, including three police officers and one soldier, according to police spokesman Lionel Lazarre.
Former Senator Nenel Cassy and former legislator Alfredo Antoine are among those accused of supporting gangs and plotting against the government, according to Lionel Lazarre.
The Cooperative for Peace and Development reported that a two-month-old baby was a victim of the violence and called for an international tribunal to try those responsible for killings across Haiti.
According to the United Nations, over 5,600 people were killed in Haiti last year due to gang violence, which has displaced more than one million individuals.
