Through this application, created by the Uruguayan Daniela Lejtreger, neighborhood food businesses offer their surplus of fresh food to nearby consumers. They all take advantage of it: stores don’t throw food away, they recover costs and reduce waste and users buy quality food at discounted prices.
Gustavo Neistat, entrepreneur partner of Buen Provecho in Argentina spoke with Fernando Carnota about the arrival of the app that seeks to avoid food waste. They are bakeries, dietetics, food houses that make a daily menu for noon, hotels that have leftover food from the buffet breakfast or pizzerias that have empanadas with breaks, which they cannot sell at full price.
