The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) administration finally caved in to the students' fierce protests. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Naima Khatoon removed Proctor Prof. Naved Khan and appointed Prof. Nafees Ahmed Ansari of the Political Science Department as the new Proctor.
