The likelihood of a controversial "mega-brothel" actually being built near the A10 motorway in Amsterdam-Zuid has become extremely slim. The Amsterdam branch of the D66 party considers the project too large and risky.
Lol. Years of drilling into that brothel without lubricant, and then suddenly leaving without a second thought. D66 is also at a loss, so the now-infamous erotic center has been expunged from the party platform. GroenLinks/PvdA, of course, still supports the plan, since Lolo Asscher already completely destroyed the Red Light District with the disastrous Project 1012, and hey, why not double down on that?

The party’s concept program for the 2026 municipal election does not mention the term “erotic center” at all, making the arrival of the central workplace for sex workers extremely uncertain, Parool reports.
For the upcoming municipal elections, the D66 party has removed the erotic center from its platform. This was reported by Het Parool and confirmed by sources to AT5. This raises the question of whether there will be enough support for such a center in the next municipal executive.
