Caleb Flynn Denies Killing Wife in Police Interview Played in Court During Murder Trial

- Testimony from analyst Samantha Reeb of the Ohio Bureau of Investigation showed Flynn frequently messaged his mistress about wanting his wife to die. Prosecutors allege he shot Ashley twice in the head to be with his mistress, Alleigha Botner.
- During police interviews played in court, Flynn denied involvement, stating "I didn't touch my wife." Investigators noted his 9mm handgun was missing from his truck console when officers arrived at the Tipp City home on February 16.
- The defense rested Monday without calling witnesses, as closing arguments are expected tomorrow. Defense attorneys argued that while Flynn sent "ugly, hurtful" messages to his mistress, there is no direct evidence linking him to the murder.
- Flynn, who pleaded not guilty, faces charges including aggravated murder and tampering with evidence. The jury will soon deliberate on evidence presented over the seven-day trial, which featured testimony from more than three dozen witnesses.
