American Girl Debuts 2027 Doll of the Year, Daisy Davenport
The 18-inch doll costs $135 and comes with a book, camp-themed accessories and a story about friendship and teamwork.
American Girl launched its 2027 Girl of the Year, Daisy Davenport, on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The 18-inch doll hails from Madison, Wisconsin, becoming the brand's first character from the state.
The launch coincides with American Girl's 40th anniversary this year. The Girl of the Year collection has been running for more than 25 years, bringing relatable stories to diverse backgrounds.
Daisy's story centers on her time at Camp Gowonagin, where she navigates homesickness and new friendships after her best friend cannot attend. Historical character Molly McIntire attended the same camp decades earlier.
The doll retails for $135 and includes accessories such as a camp cabin, soccer set, and guitar. Every purchase comes with the full-length novel "Meet Daisy Davenport" by bestselling author Megan Wagner Lloyd.
Pamela Velarde, Vice President and Head of American Girl, says Daisy's story reflects the brand's enduring spirit while bringing a fresh perspective. The character aims to encourage girls to embrace teamwork and courage.
