AMD and TCS to bring state-of-the-art ‘Helios’ rack-scale AI architecture to India

  • AMD and Tata Consultancy Services have expanded their collaboration to co-develop the 'Helios' rack-scale AI infrastructure in India through TCS's subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited.
  • The 'Helios' platform uses AMD Instinct MI455X GPUs, AMD EPYC 'Venice' CPUs, AMD Pensando Vulcano NICs, and ROCm software to support sovereign AI factories with enhanced operational efficiency.
  • Together, AMD and TCS will offer an AI-ready data center blueprint supporting up to 200 MW capacity, aiming to accelerate AI data center build-outs with hyperscalers and AI companies in India.
  • Dr. Lisa Su, AMD CEO, and K. Krithivasan, TCS MD and CEO, highlighted this strategic collaboration as building the compute foundation for large-scale AI deployments and India’s national AI initiatives.
