Ambulance Stolen with Patient Inside at Royal Stoke Hospital
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and vehicle theft after police tracked the stolen ambulance to a petrol station and arrested him with a police dog.

- Officers pursued the ambulance to an Esso petrol station on the A34 at the junction of Liverpool Road and London Road on the outskirts of Chesterton, where Staffordshire Police tracked it until it stopped.
- A police dog apprehended the 31-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent after he attempted to flee marshland near London Road; police confirmed no one from inside the ambulance was injured.
- Authorities arrested the suspect on suspicion of kidnap, vehicle theft, and drink driving, and will question him today, Thursday. Witnesses should call police on 101 and quote incident number 743 of March 25.
