Fromberg Ambulance Driver Dies in Crash
- Everett Edwards, 84, a long-serving emergency medical worker in the Clarks Fork Valley area, passed away on June 23 due to injuries sustained in a June 16 two-vehicle accident on Highway 310 near Fromberg, Montana.
- The crash occurred when Edwards, responding to a call while driving north, attempted a left turn onto Goldie Road and collided with a southbound Ford F350 pickup driven by an 85-year-old Bridger man.
- The collision caused the ambulance to overturn on wet roads, and both drivers were hospitalized though speeding and intoxication were not suspected factors.
- Sheriff Josh McQuillan reported that Edwards served in emergency services for more than four decades, and a memorial is scheduled for Friday morning at Fromberg Public School’s gymnasium.
- This crash contributes to Montana's over 80 road fatalities in 2025, including at least seven this month, and the investigation remains open.
