Multiple Sightings of Alberta Boy in Amber Alert Case in B.C.: Police
RCMP say the alert was cancelled in Alberta after multiple B.C. sightings, while officers continue searching for the boy and three other missing people.
On Friday, Beaverlodge RCMP cancelled the Amber Alert for six-year-old Lanakai Morrison in Alberta, though the search continues across British Columbia, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories following multiple sightings.
Police allege Lanakai was abducted Tuesday from Valhalla Centre by his 35-year-old mother, Krista Morrison, who is traveling with her partner, Daniel Ludwig, and four-year-old Karl Morrison.
Investigators suspect the group is traveling in a red 2006 Ford F350 after police located their previously identified black Toyota Tundra on Thursday.
Beaverlodge RCMP reported a confirmed sighting of Lanakai in Fort St. John on Wednesday morning, approximately 160 kilometres from Valhalla Centre.
The public is advised to refrain from approaching the individuals and to contact Beaverlodge RCMP or call 911 immediately with any information regarding their whereabouts.
