Amazon's cloud computing unit AWS said the damage in Bahrain spanned multiple so-called availability zones, which are clusters of one or more data centres in the same geographic region.
The March 2026 Iranian drone and missile attacks damaged several AWS facilities in the Gulf and left customers of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in the face of an interruption that, six months later, still has no clear closing date.
