Amazon again worst performer in UK grocery suppliers' survey, regulator says
- Amazon has been judged as the worst food retailer by UK grocery suppliers in terms of compliance with an industry code of practice, according to the Groceries Code Adjudicator survey.
- In the 2025 survey, 66.4% of respondents said Amazon 'consistently' or 'mostly' complied with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice , an improvement from 47% in 2024.
- Despite the improvement, Amazon ranked last among 14 UK food retailers, lagging 24.6 percentage points behind Lidl, which scored 91.1%.
- The GCA is investigating Amazon for potential breaches of timely supplier payments over a three-year period.
