Amana Care Clinic Expands Diagnostic Services at Muscatine Facility
The clinic said the expansion will let staff complete evaluations and treatment in one visit as urgent care demand rose 23% statewide.
On Wednesday, Amana Care Clinic Muscatine expanded its diagnostic capabilities by adding laboratory testing and X-ray services to its eastern Iowa facility, enabling complete evaluations during single visits.
Data from the Iowa Hospital Association indicates a 23 percent rise in urgent care visits statewide over the past five years, reflecting shifting patient preferences for medical attention outside traditional office hours.
Medical Director Moutaz Kotob said new equipment allows staff to provide complete evaluations without referring patients elsewhere, managing conditions ranging from respiratory infections to minor fractures.
Patients can access services via online check-in or walk-in options at the Muscatine location, filling gaps between primary care and emergency department services.
This service expansion positions the Muscatine facility alongside the Davenport clinic in offering full-service walk-in care throughout the Quad Cities, with both sites operating under aligned protocols.
